I love all aspects of card crafting however my favourite will always be using ink techniques. In particular, the simple sponging technique.
Simple Sponging Technique:
Playing and experimenting with inks totally fascinates me and the sponging technique is one I love to share as even the newest card crafter can have the joy of creating beautiful effects using sponges and ink.
You need very few materials for sponging. Whisper White cardstock is just perfect as it allows the ink to blend beautifully and Stampin’ Sponges blend the ink well and are cheap to use as you will cut one sponge in to 4 quarters. They’re washable too so you can use them over and over again. And of course Stampin’ Up! Classic Stampin’ Pads in the fabulous colour families allow you a vast range of gorgeous colours to choose from.
Unusually, the project I’m showcasing today is one I’d done 2 years ago however as I’ve received so many new requests for this tutorial I decided to release it again for free, here on my blog. I must admit I was hugely surprised to receive so many new requests for this and I do appreciate all the wonderful feedback I’ve been receiving as it’s hugely encouraging.
Before we get to the free tutorial I would suggest you make sure to sign up for my Newsletter to receive regular inspiration, hints, tips, updates and free tutorials.
