I love sending cards to my girlfriends and who wouldn’t love to receive a card made with this beautiful Designer Series Paper. If you’re like me, you look for any excuse to make a card so why not make these two and put them away in your card tin until you need them. 🙂
And the great news is …… with the current (July 2018) Designer Series Paper promotion Buy 3 Get 1 Free offer, there are loads of delicious papers to choose from and it’s fantastic value! What gorgeous papers are you going to use?
The projects showcased today were made in my Craic and Crafting In-Person class last night and were relatively simple to make.
Using the Wonderful Moments stamp set, stamp the gorgeous girl and balloons on to Very Vanilla Cardstock using Stazon Black Inkpad. With the fantastic Ivory Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker, colour the arms and legs. I use this fantastic shade for this purpose because it’s the best flesh tone shade I’ve ever used!
Add some Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Marker to the blouse. And a little Clear Wink of Stella will give it that ‘party’ shimmer. The Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Marker is also great to colour in the hair. Oh and don’t forget the shoes!
Stamp the skirt on to your Designer Series Paper. You can fussy cut this to add to your artwork. Add a little shading to the skirt using Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Marker.
Stamp the balloons on to Vellum Cardstock and colour in on the reverse using Stampin’ Write Markers or Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. Fussy cut these, ready to be added to the artwork. If you notice, I allowed the bottom of the balloons to stamp to my artwork piece. This allows me to attach the vellum balloons to it. I simply used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to do this. Again, little Clear Wink of Stella on the Balloons adds a wonderful shimmer.
Mat your artwork as illustrated.
Most importantly I advise to use the Thick Very Vanilla cardstock for your cardbase as it’s heavy enough to hold the matting and layering.
Use the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create some texture then add some delightful Natures Poem Designer Series Paper for background.
Finish with a suitable sentiment and that’s job done. 🙂
This second card was even simpler to make. Using the colours detailed and add a little heat embossing on a sentiment and you’ve a stunning card that your friends would be delighted to receive.
Here’s some more inspiration for the Embossing Folder:
The beautiful Ruffled Embossing Folder is worth another mention. Isn’t this project just so elegant. A beautiful project to add to that card tin stash.
This short video shows how to use the Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.
Well, that’s it for now. I would love to see your makes because they also give me inspiration so feel free to add them to my Craic and Crafting Facebook Group.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Until next time.
